New to the St.-Charles community, which is booming and growing with new and more permanent residents. Supporting local is a big vibe here, and I am all in! As a local small business owner, I was hoping to open a bank account within the community, and took a day off to visit with the bank. I waited 20 minutes for the teller, despite over 4 different staff working in the background, none of which acknowledged me waiting that long. After my wait, I was told the 'person who opens bank accounts' was not working that day, and may or may not be returning the following week. When asked if anyone else can help me open an account, I was told "no". I was told to stop by the next week, to "see if she may be working that day." I had to request a business card instead so I can try to reach out, and later that day requested a meeting via e-mail. No one has ever returned my request. And, at this point, don't feel comfortable leaving my money at this bank. I don't often leave negative comments, but for the growing community who may be considering changing banks, I wanted to share my experience.
