To all patients and parents out there, I'm writing to share my harrowing experience with Dr. Gooi, an ENT specialist who was referred to us by our pediatrician. Let me be clear: if you want the best care for your child or for yourself, do NOT go to Dr. Gooi. We waited a grueling eight months for our initial phone appointment, only to find out that Dr. Gooi was not even going to see our child in person. How can an ENT accurately assess a three-year-old's condition without examining them firsthand? It was a red flag from the start. When we expressed our concerns about using a Nasal Steroid spray on our child without an in-person evaluation, Dr. Gooi was dismissive and condescending. He gave us an appointment three months later, but we should have never gone back. During our second visit, Dr. Gooi barely examined our child before prescribing the Nasal Steroid spray. When we questioned the use of steroids on such a young child and asked for alternatives, he brushed us off and gave us no answers. We left feeling frustrated and unheard. Our last appointment with Dr. Gooi was for a hearing test. After it was completed, he recommended surgery or continuing with the spray, but when we asked how we could measure improvement, he had no answers. We were left feeling helpless and worried. Dr.Gooi's lack of bedside manner was one of the most concerning aspects of our experience with him. He was dismissive, unapproachable, and seemed to have no interest in hearing our concerns as parents. It wasn't clear that whether he really cared about actually helping our child. I hope this additional information helps other parents and patients make an informed decision about seeking medical care for their children. Dr. Gooi was dismissive, unprofessional, and left us with more questions than answers. Don't make the same mistake we did.

Took my 8 month old son to get checked out by dr.Gooi. Receptionist was welcoming and dr.Gooi was efficient and checked out my sons anatomy in his nose and throat.

Dr. Mah is great! He helped me get to the bottom of my sinus issues and was great at recommending the best path forward. He is very professional and an excellent doctor. Highly recommend.

Had to wait months for an appointment after a specialist referral from my GP, and I'm told that the doctor is rescheduling and will phone me (?) within a 3 hour (?!) time slot. Excuse me but how are they supposed to know what's wrong without looking? And am I expected to sit around for 3 hours waiting for a phone call during work hours? I have things to do. Receptionist was mean to me for no reason too. Why?
