        I enjoyed a wonderful day of fishing with Kenzie on the Cowichan River. This is a beautiful trout stream and he did an excellent job of guiding me down a good length of it by row boat.

        Kenzie sure knows the upper Cowichan well. He's friendly and knowledgeable, everything you want in a guide. His wife Kyt packs a fine lunch to boot. Best of all you'll set out from his home base miles ahead of the crowd and not see another drift boat all day!!

        We went 2019/11/15 and saw a ton of fish. Kenzie is super easygoing and a pleasure to spend 7 hours with. We saw 9 bear and 4 or 5 other fishers. I have two suggestions. My brother and I are not fishers and had many nibbles but few on. If you're like us, when anchored, ask Kenzie to hook the fish and then play it yourself. The other suggestion is ask for two sandwiches (delicious) and more baking (also tasty). Thanks Kenzie.
