They arent exactly the nicest there. The break away from everything is nice. Though, they let me starve there and hadnt exactly cared for me. I didnt feel cared for. Just another burden being punished for being depressed. Plus, I got lice from there.

Few years ago I stayed here when I was in my addiction. I was sent to this house. There was an older white lady (around 47 maybe) working there with short brown hair and she was so rude to me. I dont know if it was because I was aboriginal and had an addiction issue. I remember I was really sick while staying here (I had a flu) and I was coughing so bad so I went downstairs to get a hot drink. That rude lady was sitting at the table with another caucasian man. I asked if I can have some tea to soothe my throat and she rudely said "NO YOU MAY NOT, GO BACK TO YOUR ROOM NOW!!" and the man sitting with her just looked at her with his jaw a little dropped. She was racist I think. I was going through alot at this time of my life. I now have control of my addiction and I am sober but memories of her really traumatized me. I think about her sometimes and I get sad. Please respect all of your clients; you dont know what theyre going through. Oh I donated socks and books to this house and when the lady told the other two ladies I noticed they just looked at eachother and they had some guilt in faces; like they had been talking bad about me. I dont like this house, dont go there if your aboriginal.
