Oxbow Inn

We needed a place to stay on Friday evening for a birthday adventure weekend we were taking. This was the first place that came up when I searched for places to stay in Carman a few weeks ago and I decided to book here when I took a look at their website. We were not disappointed at all! It was a beautiful, clean and quiet location. The prices were also very reasonable. This is the place to stay if you find yourself in Carman!

Car broke down just outside the town, so I stayed here for 2 nights while it wss being repaired at at local place.The room was great, very clean, spacious for 1 traveler and their dog. Service was abysmal however. I arrived at 11pm saturday and they were open until 7am sunday. The night clerk was very unhelpful, he seemed too tired and too lazy to know how/care enough do his job properly which lead to a half hour check in experience when it shouldve been 10 minute job at most. The office door locked just about the second I dropped my bags in my room so that he could sleep. Thats fine because theres a number on the door to call if anything is needed. I needed ice for a nearly fractured hand and when I called I clearly woke him up, asked where the ice machine was and he said it's in the office, which was locked and there was nothing he could do. He lives on the property and was asleep in the back. Very disappointing. Other than that it was a pretty nice place. Good location, comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Edit: the owner went above & beyond to revciry my minor inconvenience, she even drove me, my dog & all my gear to the garage down the road the next morning. I cannot state enough how pleased I was. Truly, this is a very high class establishment. One of the best places to stay on the road

We were camping nearby and the temperatures were soaring. We worried that our infant son was on the verge of heat stroke so we decided to rent a room for the night. We called a few places but none were able to take us along with our two pups but Oxbow Inn saved the day! We called at 10 pm on a Sunday. The staff member was courteous and put a pack n play in the room before we arrived. Its a fifteen dollar pet fee which is much better than many places Ive been to! The room was clean and quiet. I ended up forgetting my sunglasses so we popped by to see if they still had them on our way back home and they did! Such a great experience.
