North Star Tours Ltd

I am sitting here in awe right now. Our tour guide Rhonda just dropped us off at our B&B. The tour was amazing. Even though the ice formed over night and most polar bears have left Churchill, Rhonda and the whole team gave everything. We did not only see two foxes, but a total of 4 polar bears. It has been a truly magical experience. The tour guides are very experienced and knowledgeable. Whatever you ask, they have an answer. The weather unfortunately got really bad.. Rhonda proved to be a very good driver and accessed that the conditions are too dangerous. Definitely the right call. I can highly recommend this company. Even before the amazing tour, Remi was very nice and responding quickly :) Thank you guys for a great day

I did the Coastal Roads and Polar bear tour in the afternoon the day I landed and it was absolutely fantastic and a highlight of my trip!! Rhonda was exceptional!! She's a local who's been doing these tours for decades and I enjoyed learning a lot about the area and the wonderful sights she drove us to, and of course especially her knowledge and experience that made seeing a polar bear only about 20 meters away, possible!! What a way to start off my trip!! There are big tundra buggy tours, but I appreciated having a small group with the personal and local aspect !!! Don't miss out on a polar bear tour with North Star if you come to Churchill!! Also, the woman at the office was amazing, giving me a fabulous run down of what to see in town when I just arrived and she was so friendly and sweet and made me feel so welcome to Churchill!!

This tour group is business first and Polar Bear last. They are pretty ruthless, a number of times the driver rushed toward a Bear and closed in on it at a range where the bear was scared and pannicked. This is NOT acceptable. The Bears need to be given space and tour guides need to be respectful of being in their habitat. Rhonda was friendly enough, but there is little concern for the Polar Bears. In my opinion, North Star Tour's should not be allowed to take people out. The car is a bit smelly and uncomfortable too.

Went on the Town and Area tour with Jeremy, it was great. He is very knowledgable and entertaining. The Hidden trails Polar Bear tour with Rhonda was also great. Rhonda was very knowledgable about the bears, the terrain and the community, it was very informative.

This is the person you need if doing a tour. Rhonda guided our group while in Churchill and she is funny, knowledgeable, just great all around.
