Pine Grove Cabins

We have been going there for the last 15-20 yrs for a week or 2 every year with our children, awesome people, place and fishing. Very friendly and children think the owner Gary looks like Santa Claus. He always goes out of his way to help and usually launches our boat when we go up in our RV, conversations are always nice and welcomed. Looking forward as usual to next time we head up there.

What an absolute joke of a "business". My fianc and I booked a cabin here a week or so in advance. My fianc called and booked right after his sister had just spoken with the male owner to confirm there was a vacant cabin. When he called the male owner even said "oh ya I just talked to your sister". He confirmed he had an available cabin for the 2 nights we were looking for and said the cabin was ours. We drove 5 hours with 3 days worth of supplies expecting to settle in and enjoy a few days of relaxation and fishing with family. However when we got there we were told that they had no record of our reservation. They took zero accountability for what was clearly their error and then tried to gaslight us and tell us it was our fault because we didn't call back to confirm! We were never told that we needed to call back to confirm and our family who also booked there and got their cabin did not have to call to confirm. They were extremely rude during our entire interaction with them and did absolutely nothing to rectify what was clearly their error and were content to leave us stranded or force us to drive 5 hours home for nothing. Luckily we were able to find a campsite after several hours of calling around and hearing nothing but "no vacancy". The owners at Cooks campground went above and beyond to make sure we had somewhere to sleep for the night. Going so far as to loan us their own tent so we didn't have to sleep in our car. Big thank you to Cooks campground... I would suggest booking with them over these people. And to top it off, while we were having dinner and breakfast outside with our family who was staying at Pinegrove we could clearly see that there were several cabins not occupied. They had the means to find us somewhere to stay on their property and chose not to and lied to us. I would never recommend this place to anyone. These people were an absolute disgrace. If I could give them zero or negative stars I would in a heartbeat.
