Neepawa Health Centre (Memorial Hospital)

This hospital is a joke. My husband went in to emergency this afternoon as the ER doctor requested him to come back if his breathing got worse. He sat there for 5 hours with only 5 people in the waiting room. That isnt the part that made his experience the absolute worst it was when he asked the nurse or receptionist whatever you want to call them if he would be seen soon as his throat was getting more swollen to the point he found it hard to swallow and his breathing was becoming harder. This worker was the most rude person we have ever interacted with ever. She told him he wasnt important enough to be seen and told him to go sit down and he will be called whenever they want. We understand that people with a higher level of illness come first. It was their attitude that made him feel unwelcome and that he didnt matter. Someone like that worker shouldnt be in the health care field!!!!!

August 2022: "Delsie Martin, who has a six-month-old son and a two-year-old daughter, said she had been having persistent thoughts of dying when she asked her husband to take her to the Neepawa Health Centre on a Sunday afternoon in August. But she says a doctor at the hospital in the southwestern townsent her away without any treatment or referrals to other services. "Hegestured to my husband and he said, 'Look at this wonderful man sitting here and your two children at home. You have no reason to be depressed,'" said Martin."

They have really been improving the staff here. They have a dedicated pediatrician, gastric and digestive, and anethitist Drs on call. There are several procedures done here that are not done elsewhere in the province except in the big centers. They have fantastic results with a fantastic team.
