It was closed for dinner. It's only open for breakfast. Very disappointing.

The service was good but the breakfast is not very good and is expensive. I had the fruit & waffle. The fruit compote was quite sweet and the waffle had a funny taste which I couldnt detect.

This restaurant is inside the Canad Inn Hotel in Portage la Prairie. Lots of parking available at this location. We were there for a saturday brunch. Mexican skillet was very good. Ordered an omelette with hashbrowns. An unfortunate mishap occurred - the tomatoes on the omelette had spoiled. I talked to our waitress after my first bite with the tomatoes to tell her about this. She was very accomodating and brought some sunny side up eggs within minutes to replace my omelette. The hashbrowns were very good. Toast was perfectly done. The waitress did say that the chef tried the tomatoes and disposed of them immediately due to the spoilage. The appearance of the tomatoes was good - would be easy to miss the change in them. They gave me my breakfast at no charge due to the mishap. We were very happy with the service and the staff - they fixed the problem very fast. We had a nice meal after all and I wouldn't hesitate to go there again.
