Racist! Staff dont wanna deal with indigenous people, wanted shoe laces and asked. Told me my best bet was at the dollar store. Wanted hockey skates for my kid, bought a size too small and went back but they refused us a refund and equipment. All white staff seem to have a prejudice towards indigenous people.

Went to Thompson because my working children wanted to spend some of their hard earned money. I have difficulty standing for long periods of time so I sat on the seat briefly then continued to look around. We were followed around after that. We looked at the sale items on this one clothes rack and immediately after we looked the one female worker was counting the amount of sweaters on the rack. This larger Caucasian man came out of the back and had his arms crossed as he watched us closely. We were the only 3 people in the store at the time. Made me feel awful and I expressed my concern to the woman at the till but she didn't care. She said she had to protect her assets. The only thing I can think of is that we were Native and they were under the impression we steal.
