Gateview Apartments

This building is lacking in accessibility. It is very close to being wheelchair accessible but the necessary work to make the entrance have a slight ramp to the door and to install automatic door openers will not be undertaken by management. There are consistent problems with the elevator not coming specifically to the 4th floor, until it is called from another floor and "resets". This was another issue that will not be fixed despite repeatedly raising the issue with management. There is no ability to buzz residents because the buzzer system is located inside of a locked entrance lobby, so if you are a resident here you must go down for visitors or deliveries (and often delivery companies like UPS simply leave a notice outside the building as they cannot enter to buzz).

Went for an apartment viewing here recently. Caretaker was condescending, joked about past tenants he had evicted, and just could not stop talking about how much he hates homeless people. Suites we looked at were grimy and poorly maintained.

Have been living here for nearly two months, building is usually clean. No large mailbox for all tenants is slightly annoying. Our suite has needed a lot of maitenance so far, the handyman rarely visits in our experience. Caretaker is friendly, if a little lacking in communication.
