Thank you Eric and Boxer Performance for the great job in getting my 2005 Subaru Legacy GT out of my garage and onto the road after 5 years of being parked. Great service , honest answers and a pleasure to work with. If you have a Subaru and looking for a simple oil change or a new Boxer engine then Eric at Boxer Performance is the man for the job big or small. Thanks again Eric!! Cheers. Knowing exactly what the problem is, I called the number on the site. A man answered but apparently was too busy. He texted me in the evening saying that he would order the part. A few days later, I asked for an update. I was told the "dealership isn't answering any phonecalls but I'll keep trying".. uhh, ok? Two weeks past so I ask for an update, considering my vehicle is still not working. Apparently he still can't get ahold of them and will "try to source the part from the states". Riiiight. Another two weeks of silence so I text again asking what's going on. He says "The part is backordered and they don't know when it will be in.. So I guess I can order it but I won't know when it will come and what it will cost" How do you NOT know what it will cost? And if I'm able to order it myself, how is a shop not able to? Long story shortened even more: -They never even asked to look at my vehicle -They kept giving me the run-arround -They clearly just didn't want to do the job, and were OK with completely wasting my time So if your vehicle is off warranty and you're looking for a decent shop to take care of maintenance and any issues that isn't the dealership, this is NOT the place to go. They clearly aren't capable of doing certain jobs, or they just simply don't have good customer service. Update (2/28/2023): I took my vehicle to a different shop in Winnipeg last week.. They reached out to the dealership and had the part THAT day, and they even installed it that same day too. Yes, the same part that Boxer was telling me they might have to "source out of the states". There were no days/weeks in between contact with me, no run-around, actually made me feel like a priority. Found my new autoshop, and it most certainly is -not- Boxer Performance. They claim it "took time to reach out to the dealership" and that "the dealership isn't answering calls", but then a different -decent- autoshop calls them and has the part the SAME day. I also inquired and apparently there hasn't been an issue with getting that part in the last year at all. Interesting.. You can inform me of alleged information all you want, but logic overpowers your excuses.. no point in trying to be dishonest, Boxer. My review still stands. Cheers, Stephen
