Was very pleased to see the old Metropolitan Theatre had been converted to a restaurant. Went there for the Mother's Day Brunch. Our seating and table were excellent so this place has real potential. The waiter was pleasant and promptly took our drink order. Once supplied, he never asked again. Was disappointed in the mediocre brunch, especially for the cost. Looked for butter for a roll, then asked, and was told there was none. The breading under the eggs benedict was not cooked very well ie it tasted raw. Wanted to get some shrimp but was offput by the fishy smell coming from the salmon display. The food was ok, just not memorable in any way. After bussing our own table we went for dessert. I am pleased to say all we sampled were excellent.

Arrived early for our Mother's Day reservation and checked in but had to wait an hour in the lobby for our table, if you have family members with special needs I would not recommend here as there was no place to sit and it was very crowded. We had to ask several times what was happening and after 45 minutes we were told our table was being set but still had to wait and additional 15 minutes. The manager got visibly angry and took us to a partially set table which was never fully set for us. She was condescending to us as we were seated. We had to ask for water glasses and side plates. By the time we got our table, food service was almost over and the food selection was picked over and cold. No one was cleaning up or maintaining the buffet so food had fallen all over the ground and serving tables. Like others mentioned, the plates were not cleared. The food was ok but not worth the $48/plate we were charged. In fairness, a couple of the meals were comped and we recieved a round of mimosas for our troubles. I definitely would not come back here for mother's Day again it was a complete hassle and not relaxing or fun at all.

Went for Mother's Day brunch, which we had done pre-covid and really enjoyed. This time, they seated us at a tiny table in the dark theater. They were short staffed as everyone is these days, so no one cleared plates as you went for seconds. Our first round of coffee was cold but couldn't flag someone down to fix it. Many of the items on the hot buffet were cold, although they were tasty. I don't think we'll be going back.

Historic building with incredible architectural design. Brunch last weekend was a little abysmal, unfortunately. Reserving a table means very little, apparently, as our party waited almost an entire hour to be sat. Hostesses seemed unprepared and unorganized, as they sat several walk ins before us. Wait staff were inattentive, sluggish, and sparse. Either understaffed or under trained, either way, severely lacking. For the price per plate, I'd expect them to keep pace with your average diners. But it seems quality of service is not reflected in that price. In short, do not plan your day around one of their larger events.
