Getting to learn history via beer is something I would want more of I think. If you have followed their journey since 1919 beer you have been part of a great education in local history. Just like the great people of erstwhile Winnipeg who were steadfast, persevering and hardworking people, I feel Little Bown Jug has been that and added to their part of the exchange, in their words breathing life into an important building for the community. My first local beer in Winnipeg was the 1919, a Farmery lager and a fort garry rouge. And I have stuck to the 1919 since then, the other two were not memorable enough. When they opened their brewery taproom it was a great addition for the area and over the years they have only gotten better with their space and community offering. Their recent developments in making a really fine patio and the various activities they carry out and promote with their space is such a warm welcoming atmosphere. From watching harry potter movies to learning dance drunk out to dj sets, art day-night themes and drag shows they have such a lot of things happening. There has never been a dull visit to the brewery ever. It's run by a great team of people matching their fervour, vigour, vibrancy and hardwork and so the service has always been outgoing and lovely. The 1919 is a must have beer it's one of the best belgian ale the city has to offer. One of the recent favorites for me has been the black lager and dubbel ale. And their new sparkling water offerings with brite water are really tasty to make low sugar cocktails and the sparkling water flavors are tasty. You will visit them once because you want to check out a brewery and have a refreshing drink, you keep visiting them because the whole package they offer is very refreshing.

Love it here. This place feels good to come into. 1 of your reps converted me into a Craft Beer Drinker and I couldn't be happier. Thank You Lindsay.

A must check out place in the downtown area. Came here for a gaming mixer and wasn't too sure what to expect, I was pleased to have my expectations do a 180. This isn't your traditional pub or bar, I actually don't know how to describe it other than it's a cool experience, too. The staff were incredibly friendly, the food was tasty, and the beverage orices were incredibly fair. Highly recommend checking them out!

Lovely atmosphere and setting for a casual gathering. I attended a meeting workshop hosted by Arts Junktion, but will definitely come back to hang out with friends! I was pleasantly surprised to find there were nibbles available - I couldn't find any indication of that on the website.
