Chicken Chef

I usually love Chicken Chefs homey menu and quick fried chicken but I ordered today and the food was somehow both bland and over-salty, not to mention the overly oiled fish and the old, weird-tasting fries. You could tell the oil was old and had not been changed out in a while and the meals were just thrown together. The only thing that was good was the coleslaw.

I don't get it. Why do people like this. The chicken was over seasoned, the coating was greasy and tasteless, and a friend had what they called barbecue chicken appeared to be stale leftover fried chicken warmed up in a microwave with kraft bbq sauce poured over it. The 2 stars are for the cheerful and amazing service. In short Chicken Chef is no chef and it's barely chicken.

Good food, nice people. But a bit of a drag and awkard coming in and standing at the counter waiting while 3 staff stand on the other side complaining about their jobs and not being paid enough. Heads up, probably better to have those conversations while not at work or at least in the back room, not while a customer is waiting right there. Makes one wonder how much they care about the food they are making and serving.
