Trendy Tots

I began supporting Trendy Tots when there was only the one store in Grant Park Mall because I believed supporting local was important and believed in their concept of supporting small business. Over the years of their expansion both of stores and of products I have always been able to find quality clothing for my eight grandchildren. I have only ever received pleasant and personal service from the staff at all of the stores Ive frequented. Though there are occasionally styles that are offered in larger sizes, my only regret will be once each of my grandchildren eventually age out of the sizes offered at this Tots store. Highly recommended for unique, quality items.

On December 31st, me, my daughter & 1 & 3 year old grandkids (who live out of Wpg) went to the Polo location specifically to get credit for an item, as the receipt says eligible for exchange or store credit on or before January 14, 2023. All Black Friday and Boxing Day transactions are final sale. When I presented the item and receipt, the employee, Maddie, stated she had to call the manager, which I thought was strange. She got off the phone and said the store credit cannot be used that day! I asked why and was told that there was a 26% off sale on now. I said that doesnt make sense as the receipt does not say you cant use a credit when there is a sale on. I told her that we came from out of town to do this and her reply was I live out of town too to which I said with 2 toddlers?? I asked to speak to the manager and she said there was none there. I asked her to call them as I wanted to speak to them. She called someone who I assume told her the same thing. I tried to get her attention before she hung up to say I wanted to speak to them, to which I was ignored. She said the answer was the same. I said I wanted to speak to them and she said they were busy. I told her that weve bought items at their stores other times and she replied well since youve shopped here before you shouldnt have a problem coming back at another time!!! I asked for the manager or owners names. At this point, she was even more unhappy with me. I took my receipt to write down their names and since she didnt offer a pen, I reached over the counter, which was not in front of her, and grabbed a pen. She then told me how rude I was for doing that, which I said you were not offering one. She quickly said their names to which I asked her to repeat. Marsha Riddell and Laura Riddell. I would have been happy to use the credit and charge me the regular price, just so we didnt have to come back in town. I was given a receipt and Gift card scan code to which she wrote cant be used 4 a sale. So I guess when you buy a gift card there, the person cant use it during a sale?? This store was the only reason we drove into Winnipeg to return the items within the small time frame they give you. It would have been nice if it was stated on the receipt that store credits couldn't be used during boxing week sale. I do like their clothing, even though its expensive, but after this incident, I will not buy from them again. Terrible customer service and rude employee.

Nice store. Nice enough staff. There is a decent and a wide variety of clothes. In my opinion just a tad bit overpriced. I understand of course that both the clothes makers and clothes sellers must each make a profit. I hate your lack of a return policy. You can defend it all you want, its poor customer service. But the main reason I am posting.during certain holidays like Christmas, Easter etcit would be nice if your store offered GIFT BOXES! ((a small show of gratitude towards your customers, perhaps might even create loyalty)) Or maybe even the purchase nicely wrapped in tissue paper with a Trendy tots round sticker, or just anything to make your customers feel justified for dropping large amounts of money in your store without even a decent return policy! Just my opinion.

Wonderful store! Homegrown Manitoba Busniess too! Very friendly staff! I'd give it 7 stars if I could!
