Hugh and his team of carpenters were professional and on time. After more than 10 years my mother's fence has endured the harsh Winnipeg winters and to this day outshines all of her neighbors fences that look like their about to keel over. In fact when the fence was being built people passing by asked who was contracted to build the fence. My favorite aspect of the fence is the archway that greets people when entering the yard. Great job, would recommend Good Guys Builders.

Good Guys built us a sunroom in 2010 for approx $50K. Looked nice but many problems. First, Good Guys submitted but never completed the permit process unbeknownst to us. So a couple years later the City served us with a permit violation notice . Since the time limit had expired on the original application, they'd destroyed it (without informing us) and now we had to re-submit from scratch. We hounded Good Guys for over a year to re-do the permit process. Due to the time it took, the City assessed a $1,200 fine against us. Filing a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, got Good Guys' attention temporarily and they got part way through the permit application process. But Good Guys was so unresponsive it was impossible to finish. So we worked directly with an engineer to finish the permit process and got the permit this month (Oct 2018). The engineer gave us a report listing problems that would not pass City inspection. The worst was none of the teleposts under the middle of the deck were screwed down. So the middle was completely unsupported and also way off level. (Decking inside sunroom has to be torn out to fix it, then replaced with new decking) There was also insufficient structure where the sunroom roof meets the house roof and many other deviations from the engineer's design.. Plus, there's bad leaking and several other problems. As of now (end of Oct 2018) we have a contractor working to fix the problems ($8,000) and pass City inspection. Bottom line: Poor workmanship and support that's cost us a lot of time and money to fix.

They have a small team of expert craftsman and it really shows. Constant compliments on the timber work they did at my place.
