Asmara came to our home and provided a training session for our two new puppies. My partner and I are mushing enthusiasts and have had multiple dogs for many, many years all of them formally trained. We feel like we have good overall knowledge but wanted some refreshers and a fresh perspective. Asmara really delivered! Asmara thoughtfully assessed each puppys personality and unique needs to integrate successfully into the team. She also looked at the dynamic of all our dogs (8), and provided some practical advice for maintaining harmony and preventing/managing the occasional conflict. She provided us a long, comprehensive lesson full of careful observation, practical tips, and effective training techniques. Unlike some other trainers Ive encountered over the years, she was happy to build upon work weve already done and our training style, and was respectful of our goals and lifestyle. A house full of 8 sled dogs may seem over-the-top for some trainers, but Asmara dove in with helpful, pragmatic recommendations. She has considerable personal experience and expertise. It was a very results-focused, enjoyable session. I will use Asmaras services again!

Every trainer weve ever met has helped us. So our most basic message is if you have a dog, get a trainer. Now I want explain what Asmara has done. We have been on a learning journey: our first dog was calm, majestic, and big. Sadly he passed and after three years mourning, we decided to find a new friend who turned out to be a total opposite: scared, reactive, and needy. Like our lost family member, he was devoted, loyal, expressive, sensitive, intelligent and lovable. We just moved from a dog-friendly neighbourhood to a scary place. Fast cars, narrow passing places, unwanted encounters. We needed help! Asmara gave it. She told us what he needed, and how to give it. She taught us how to manage down his anxieties, retrain his reflexes, and do what we never managed before, which is just have fun together when there are distractions around. She provided a great curated selection of links which meant we could stop trawling the web for potential help, instead taking a recommendation we could trust as appropriate. She helped us with purchasing much-needed accessories from toys to treats to leashes. Asmara works with dogs as a way of living. She understood our dog from the get-go; she told us and showed us what he needed; we did it, and it worked.

Asmara and her assistant came over to help train our Malinois/German Shepherd. Abby would get excited and jump the fence when people walked along our fence with their pets which caused both frighten and upset humans and pets. Asmara and her assistant showed us methods to divert Abbys attention to us rather than what was happening on the other side. Their advise has given us confidence with her training. We thank you both for your patience, kindness and your time with us

Excellent experience. When working with my cockapoo, Daisy, Asmara showed an excellent balance between a totally professional approach and a warm and caring attitude. I could tell she has worked with dogs for many years, and uses her education as well as years of experience. I found her no nonsense and tough love approach, direct and trustworthy. At the same time her storytelling and anecdotes of other dogs and other experiences, help to make me feel less alone and believe things could change and be possible. When Asmara worked with me to break Daisy of a few bad habits, I realized the few bad habits were mine to sort out. Lol. My dog was just following my lead. At the end of the day, I found I could trust her truth because she is always looking at what she feels is best for the dog, owner, and family.
