Alex Wilkins on Google
They're most likely either a MLM or simply a business idea using outdated wifi enabled fire alarm systems bought in an auction as a large lot. The amount you're getting charged per unit is absurd when the technology you're paying for is well over 15 years old. For half the price, you could buy modern, alexa/google home enabled and branded fire alarm systems with way more coverage, features and way more connectivity in general.
Their tactic is to use a 'free first aid kit' or other offers that comes with a 'free' consultation. The consultation is nothing short of a scare tactic involving a video that details nothing substantial about fire safety and prioritizes statistics to scare people into "upgrading" their fire alarm systems. Packaging additional items such as water sensors to help increase the bill. They then show you that it's only a small monthly charge per month!
For the bill my roommate got, it was approximately $50ish a month for a $5000 install. That would take over 8 years to pay off... And the best part? The only clause that lets you terminate the contract stated you had to return everything and cancel the contract within 10 days of signing. 10 days, for a roughly 8 year contract.
It took a few days to call and let them know we wanted to cancel the contract. We uninstalled the system ourselves and then waited for someone to pick it up. It was a large hassle and that 'free' first aid kit was even taken away too.
