Safeway Marion & Braemar

I came here after getting cash from a friend. Had a hard time finding cooking oil, and took ten minutes to find an employee to tell me where it was. Got to the front to pay and nobody was at the tills. I finally found an employee watching over the self serve check out and I asked how do I pay cash? The employee looked around and said they could help. Well if you have one employee at check out, it is not my responsibility to look for service. I am now at super store and probably won't go to Safeway again. I grew up loyally with Safeway but with no staff, I don't have time to waste looking for a staff member.

I was told by a cashier that I shouldn't shop with my own bag. Totting around a Costco insulated bag will get you tailed by security apparently. Very unnerving experience. I assume they have high amount of shop lifters if that is a policy.

I never enjoy shopping at Safeway the prices are ridiculously expensive one would think they were shopping in the Northwest territories.If it's a small item I would suggest buying it from 7/11 as most items are cheaper there and that place is jacked up so it goes to show you.
