Alyssa is a great hairstylist. She is the only person I trust with my hair. She has been doing my hair since I was 16. She never disappoints. She is friendly , creative and very professional. She came highly recommended through a local FB group, and I took a chance going to see her. Unfortunately, she didn't listen to the guidelines given about length. I ended up with 6" taken off when I had asked for 3-4" tops, even though after the bulk cut we EXPLICITLY discussed keeping the length where it was and only shaping from there. Also, after just one wash my toner has faded significantly and now I'm at an even more awkward state than I left her in with strange highlights and multiple colours going on. I have no idea what happened, but I now need to book a colour correction with another stylist to fix the mess I'm left with. Not only that, but when I messaged her about the issue, she simply stopped responding. I wasn't rude, and even tipped her even though it was nothing like what I wanted. We discussed in detail the difficulty that I have had growing my hair in past, and how excited I was to finally have the long hair I'd always dreamt of. I thought she understood how important it was to maintain the length, but somehow the message did not get across. Saying "I'm sorry" is fine, but when you have cut off 3 years of hard worked for growth because you got scissor-happy, you need to do more to own your mistakes. Very disappointed not only with the results, but with the lack of customer care afterwards.
