Parole Officers and programs are on site. Resources and mental health Assistance is accessible Monday to Friday. This facility offers Shared accommodations in all areas concerned. There are SOME rooms with bugs. There is little to no privacy. The alloted space assigned to store your dry goods and kitchen supplies is a not much bigger than a shoe box. You will share a locked fridge shelf space with another. You will start off with at least 3 roommates, and eventually you will be moved into a 2 or 3 man room. The rules are strict, and you are required to sign in between 4pm and 6pm daily, and CANNOT be more than ten minutes late or a warrant may be issued. Personal Computers are not permitted. You have limited locker space. The curfew clock is set 2 minutes faster than central standard time so the staff will write you up if you aren't 2 minutes early. There is a common area with a tv and a pool table where you may have visitors between 9am and 9pm, however be warned that nearly half of the residents living in the building are registered sex offenders. Having seen and heard about other halfway house accommodations in Winnipeg, I feel that C.C.C. may be- in comparison to other placements for Manitoba Day-Parolees- possibly one of the least desirable placements. Standard Federal Urinalysis requirements are conveniently done on site and usually can occur Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays between 6pm and 8pm. Your parole officer may send you to another facility on any other day for urinalysis upon request when deemed necessary. There are two phones in the lobby. Residents have a designated smudge room in the basement. There is a bike storage area. There is parking available to residents. If unemployed, the facility offers $85 every Monday for food and expenses until you become employed or claim a source of income. The tap water quality is poor, but doesn't necessarily NEED to be boiled. is located on Main street at Magnus in North Point Douglas You can use public transit to travel nearly anywhere in the city in about an hour. Also there are extremely overpriced benefits machines located in the lobby.
