image This dojo is an excellent choice for one seeking training in the art of traditional Karate. Very welcoming for beginners, yet at the same time, challenging and rewarding for experienced martial artists. The head instructor Sensei Vincent is an excellent teacher with vast experience. He is kind, patient, welcoming, and makes being trained a superb experience. Anyone would be lucky to be trained by an instructor like him.
This is a well rounded class with emphasis on dedication and determination to do well and further yourself. There are two classes (as stated on the website), one for beginners and one for more advanced students. The beginner class has some physical training, but focuses mostly on the art itself, instilling a knowledge of the basics needed to have a strong foundation for your training. The advanced classes are a lot more physically intensive, each class beginning with a moderately difficult warm-up (depending on what kind of shape you are in). There is a large emphasis on techniques, with plenty of training on the more advanced katas. While these techniques are difficult, learning them is made easy by the excellent teaching etiquette of Sensei Vincent.
Well seemingly lesser known in comparison to other schools in Winnipeg, in my opinion this is one of the best choices for beginners and experienced martial artists alike.
