        In 2002 I went to my first Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba Group Support meeting at St Boniface Hospital on a Wednesday evening which was illness specific for Bipolar Affective Disorder. This was the beginning of the changing of my life for the better and putting together the broken pieces since 1990 when my very very close friend Roman Kumar chose death by suicide shattering my world and triggering my Bipolar Affective Disorder Type I; rapid cycling. 17 years later Mood Disorders Association of Manitoba has played a central and critical role in my recovery and I am forever in their debt. Especially to Bev Trachuk, former Executive Director and current Executive Director Tara Snyder.
