A-1 Moving & Storage Ltd

DO NOT STORE HERE. NOT SAFE OR SECURE. Had stuff in storage here while on the West coast. Came back over a weekend to get everything, but when we opened up the container there was water damage everywhere, and 1000 records were nothing but large moldy bricks. The records were crated inside the storage container, so the container had obviously sustained water exposure for a long period of time. (Several inches of standing water) Pretty much everything had to be thrown out, with exception of (ironically) a couple fish tanks. They provided no insurance policy and offered nothing to compensate for the damages. No explanation, merely "Sorry, have no idea how that could've happened." The guy even suggested that maybe the water came from the aquariums... That's the kind of people you'd be dealing with if you risk storing anything of value here. I was only in town for two days, so we really didn't have much recourse to argue the point. Once back in BC I just put the whole nightmare behind me. The occurred several years back and now that we've moved back to Manitoba I realize I'm long overdue warning people away from this sketchy storage space. If I could give this business zero stars I would. Thousands of dollars worth of records ruined. I wish it was possible to give them negative stars.
