Dropped in to inquire about buying a macro lens. Whether it was my braids and beaded clip or just this store's policy, both attendants walked me directly over to the used/pre-owned equipment and began looking through the case. There are a lot of assumptions about Indigenous people inherent in that choice. Edited to add a response to the manager's comment below: Their reply significantly mis-characterizes the interaction. When I entered the store, the employees who interacted with me didn't ask me anything. I went up to them and said only that I was interested in purchasing a macro lens. They didn't say a word to me, only walked directly over to the used equipment. When I realized it was used, I said, "I would vastly prefer to purchase new equipment". At this point, I had been thoroughly humiliated by their assumptions. They did not know that I wanted a lens promptly until much later in the interaction, *because they didn't talk to me*.

Helpful, informed, and friendly staff. Needed a digital passport picture with a specific resolution for an online application had already been to shoppers, but it didn't work out. Here, they have more options, and you can get the digital option in a more environmentally conscious way so you don't feel guilty about the single use USB.
