We had Melanie shoot family photos. She was really easy to deal with and very responsive. The weather was cold for the kids the day of the shoot and she was great at keeping things moving and trying to coax smiles out of everyone! The turnaround time to receive the photos was excellent along with detailed instructions on how to achieve high quality prints. Would certainly recommend!

Absolutely love our family photos and cake smash pictures! Before the photo shoot she helped me pick my family outfits, something that really stresses me out. During the photos Melanie was quick as to not lose my one and three year olds attentions but also put us in flattering poses and took many angles for us to choose from. I was thrilled with how many great photos we received!

I have used Melanie at Prairie and Pine for my Maternity, newborn, one year and now a 1.5 year family shoot. Her photos are amazing, they tell a story instead of just a still shot that anyone can do. Melanie is just the best photographer. She did our maternity photos, as well as our family photos when our daughter was 10 months and the photos are simply amazing. We will cherish these memories forever. I promise youll want to print every single picture that she sends you because they are ALL beautiful. She truly has a gift to capture light and people. Her outdoors photos are breathtaking. The bonus is that she will make you feel super comfortable and you wont even feel like you are doing a photoshoot; shell ask you to simply be yourself and natural and the results will be just that! And she works really fast (which is great when you have a tired and teething baby)!
