I recently dined at Bonfire Bistro with my wife, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. While the ambiance and service were decent, the quality of the food fell short of our expectations. The lack of flavour in the dishes we ordered was a significant letdown considering the price of the meals.

Worst meal I've ever eaten. Had the mac and cheese and it was both undercooked (noodles still hard, cheese sauce not thickened or containing any cheese) and burnt (left under the salamander or in the oven way too long so the top was charred black). The vegetables and chorizo were cut much too large for what was essentially a bowl of orange milk with raw noodles and ashes. The server didn't come back to the table once to ask how the food was, as if they could tell before they handed it over what the answer would be. I've worked in restaurants for decades and would be ashamed to put food like that out of my kitchen. Really powerful round of food poisoning after this meal. Needless to say I will not be going back and if you do make the mistake of eating here, avoid the mac and cheese.
