Fantastic school with great staff and awesome principal! The two teachers who in my opinion go above and beyond even more than everyone else are the gym and music teachers. There is an after-school gymnastics program at the beginning of the year as well as of intramurals throughout the year including juggling, jump rope, basketball, volleyball, badminton, cross country, and more. At times there has been a Lego Club, there used to be a Mad Science Club. The choral program is run by the music teacher and the school has recieved many awards for their performances. Many teachers do a science fair project with their class which is displayed along with induvidual and group projects at the Lakewood School Science Fair. Students in grade 4 and 5 can also sign up to be the hosts of a video-taped morning news show where they read the school announcements. Students then watch this in the morning instead of listening to announcements over the PA. Students in grade 4 and 5 can also sign up to help run the previously mentioned gynastics program and to be a kinder-helper and help the kindergarten students get all their winter gear on (with teacher supervision). Easily the best elementary school in the St. James School Division!
