I rushed in like a tornado today and breathlessly proclaimed "I NEED HELP". Avi and Suzanne immediately put me at ease with a laugh by saying "don't we all". Honestly, that took half my stress away. They then rallied up their forces, and Pat came charging in with SO much incredible advice and they all took charge of my situation like it was their own. I left their store with my issue completely resolved and it took such little time. They carefully listened to my issue, presented options, timelines and price points, and offered alternatives I hadn't even considered. Additionally, and perhaps more importantly, all three of them demonstrated such human connection, compassion and kindness, on top of knowledge and intelligence of their products and industry. I cannot overstate how valuable this combination is. I am 100% a lifelong convert to Olympia from this interaction alone. Their stellar reputation is well deserved!! While choosing out tile for a wet-room/ofuro style custom bathroom that my wife and I are planning to build, I stopped in at Olympia tile. Their warehouse and showroom aren't fancy, but what they lack in flash, the staff make up for in attentive service, and excellent products. For instance, if you need a grout that is made for water emersion, or top-end stone sealers, they have specialty stuff that isn't available at box stores. Also, when there was a mix-up with tile colours and our tub sill tiles no longer matched (which partially was my fault-don't chose tile colours off a computer screen and expect them to match in reality!), they went the extra mile, and found some discontinued stock for some gorgeous travertine stone tiles sitting in their Calgary warehouse, got them shipped out for free, and then GAVE them to us for nothing because of some minor chips on the tiles (that didnt affect how we were using them). Now I know they can't give away stuff ALL the time, but wow, if you plan to do some tiling and want great quality products and service, go to the Olympia Tile warehouse in Winnipeg! For tiles, they are like the hole-in-wall diner that should get a Michelin star. :)
