The atmosphere has always been welcoming, supportive and non-judgemental! A place thats filled with such kind people who genuinely care about your well-being - physically, mentally and spiritually. Growing up as a non-Christian, having attended public school with lgbtq staff isnt accepting nor welcoming to everyone. But this place, to my surprise I learnt when receiving the help I did that the Christians I have met are so welcoming, and loving and express concern for an individual - something that non-Christians can perhaps learn a thing or two. Every organization is going to have their own set of beliefs that they stand on whether thats Christian or not. Why would a Christian organization have staff that dont agree with their beliefs? Same goes for indigenous and or igbtq staff organizations. YFC, in my opinion, has the strongest foundation I see compared to other organizations. Its inspiring how much they stand for what they believe in! I have grown so much and have unleashed that confidence that was hidden inside me. I learnt just how wonderful and truly loved I truly am! Christians truly dont give up on someone whos struggling. Its amazing to know that someone is praying for you and you see that transformation take place in your own life. They are so respected and never forced their beliefs on me. Eventually, I grew more and more in love with their God Jesus. The year before I received help, I had already begun having a hunger to know someone (Jesus). YFC was the place I experienced such love! To have received the help I did at my age at the time is everything and shows they are willing to go the lengths to help anyone whether thats a child, teenager or young adult, to help them grow and become all an individual has been created to be! As a non-Christian who recently became a Christian, it had been simply incredible to have felt such love in that place inside and out! That love was Christ! YFC, thank you for all that you do, our beautiful Lord Jesus is pleased with each one of you for giving all you have in pouring such love into the youth who are desperately hurting. You are incredible role models that other organizations can learn a thing or two. You always know the right response and are incredibly wise in what approach to do. Even through the difficulties may our Lord Jesus bless you beyond measure. Regarding all the children, youth and young adult that comes through your doors along with all the staff, may the best be yet to come for each one of you!
