        What a fantastic local museum! I've been to museums all over the world and this is honestly one of my favorites! I'm amazed at how much is packed into this building. There are a few things for purchase at the entrance area. After that, there is an amazing exhibit for the bird lovers. An incredible amount of taxidermied birds with a giant interactive touchscreen to listen to all the different bird calls. There are other exhibits on fisheries and different stories about the island and it's inhabitants, such as the Dark Harbour Hermits. In the basement is an interactive exhibit for the rockhounds where different rock varieties can be viewed with a microscope. Heading outside at the rear of the museum is some great local art. Highly recommend this gem!
