Just returned from this rental and because of great company with family and friends we had a great time but, this property was very disappointing and unsafe. Very misleading from the pictures and advertisement on the rental site. Our biggest issues were: : Rotten wood on the walkway to get in (a guest actually went through and fell) : Old rotten doors that are unsafe and unable to lock : One bathroom with a shower door that does not close : Small old sparsely supplied Kitchen with unsafe floor : Windows with out glass and most leak : 2 sets of stairs one without a rail and one more like a ladder(very steep) : Unsafe electrical, broken lights and unsafe ceiling fans : 2 very old couches/beds that were filthy ( clean bedding) : Surrounding grounds covered in old wood and garbage (lots of nails) : Pool is warm but old and unsafe to get in and out : Wifi very unreliable

DO NOT RENT HIS COTTAGES. Long story short, before I sent him the money I made him confirm that I will get full refund of my deposit back in case I had to cancel my reservation before the cancellation date. I had to cancel due to COVID. Well he told me he used the deposit and had no money to reimburse me at the time. I understand everyone can have difficult time so I gave him a month to pay me back. He promised me he will have the money. He still didn't have any money a month after. I had to file a small claim and sue him. I won my case. I have a court order and he still doesn't want to pay me. I have to enforce the court order. It's been 6 months and he never gave me any money back from that deposit. It caused me a lot of stress and I lost a lot of time dealing with all this. Do not trust him!!!! He his not a man of words.
