Avoid this place at all costs. Frank the owner and self-proclaimed expert/structural engineer will talk the talk but results speak volumes. My 105 HP Johnson jet drive was not working properly and we assumed the problem was rockweed getting into the impeller. We talked about costs to convert jet drive to prop. Initial estimate was around $3,000. Boat was left with Frank to complete the conversion over the summer. Three summers later, yes 3 years...and after many calls and hearing the same old excuses, parts delayed, or what he first thought would work didnt so have to order new parts, or busy ...but when you cut through the excuses, he didnt have the knowledge or time to do the conversion. I finally drove to his marina, paid an outrageous bill of $8,000 and I still didnt have a motor that worked...shaft too short 20, he should have put in a new 25 long shaft ,but the real kicker, on his expert advice, I had to get a welder to cut the transom down...so I did, put the boat in the water and same problem, engine would not work properly. I immediately took the boat to another dealer who did a compression test on the engine and found little to no compression in the engine. Three summers, over 8 grand, I got a motor that doesnt work, but hey he says I got all new parts, including a new stick controller that he installed but wouldnt move forward/reverse because he reinstalled the old cables...Ask yourself how he claims he tested the boat motor without a functioning controller. This is my first time ever writing a review on the internet..but folks need to know the chances of you getting timely and correct service for your boat is highly unlikely. Frank, the owner will talk a sweet talk and youll trust him and if the job is easy, you may get away with just an inflated big bill when you finally get your boat back. My advice, definitely go elsewhere.
