John is a very peculiar old man but extremely captivating if you give the chance for him to talk and give him your undivided attention. A wealth of knowledge and you can get an encyclopedia of facts within an hour. Captain John has a THOUSANDS of books within a million genres in great condition at even better prices. Went to buy some Steven King novels that were upwards of $25 per book online and scored two of them for $9 at Johns! Make sure to space out a full afternoon if you even want to even make a dent in the books that he has to offer and converse. An experience you will never forget and if you're into Johns conversation he will have you coming back time and time again. An absolute gem of a store and an extremely genuine person!

The owner is an eccentric man but very well intentioned and clearly passionate about used books. This place is a gold mine in its own right; you might have to delve deep but you're sure to find gold.

It's a good ole fella with tubs and a house full of books. Fair prices, willing to deal. Talked my ear off for about an hour but it was a good listen. What an interesting, quirky guy. Love places like this.

I absolutely adore the owner. He's eccentric, but highly intelligent. If you get to know him, he's an extremely wonderful person. The store is like something out of a movie. I've never seen anything like it. It's filled with book treasures. Go with an open mind, and a desire to hunt for books. If you enjoy the search you will love this place. The prices are beyond reasonable, with most books being around $5 or under. I can't say enough about this place, it's truly a gem

Stopped in here on the way through. All the books are in tubs. The owner freaks out at you if you look through the tubs without him looking over your shoulder ( he's crazy ). Went into the building and there wasn't even enough room to get turned around to come out. I had to back out. Please avoid this place, it's not worth the hastle or the waisted time.
