I attend ceps solely for the weight room and occasionally the cardio room. While I understand that the basic 63$ non student membership grants you access to all their facilities (pool, indoor track and other stuff I didn't inquire about), the price is quite steep for someone who only uses the gym and cardio facilities. Upon entrance to the CEPS building you are greeted by a friendly employee, which is always appreciated. As far as the weight room goes, it is mix of dated machines, and newer cable machines, along with newer and older free weights and and squat racks. The gym itself is not large compared to other cheaper, modern facilities, and can be quite busy and cramped at peak times. The gym is clean and is usually always staffed by a helpful employee. Common gym etiquette isn't always followed from a sanitation standpoint, usually by younger students despite having a number of French and English signs asking for machines to be cleaned following usage. The cardio room is actually larger than the weight room, and features numerous treadmills, stationary bikes, rowing machines and one singular stair master. The changing rooms are usually always very clean, though during puplic pool hours, the floor is often wet which can be annoying if you step in the water while changing footwear. The opening hours are reasonable, though they are reduced by a few hours during the summer period, which should also be reflected in the price. Overall, my only complaint boils down to the monthly price. I understand that they don't have the technology allowing access only to certain facilities once you've swiped in, which is why it is an all inclusive membership. Alas, until another gym opens in the area, ceps will be my go to.
