The room was immaculate, the kitchen pristine and I do love a roll top tub in the bathroom! It was like visiting a fairytale, only real, which is, of course, much better! Clean matters so much, especially in these Covid times, yet the scrubbing had removed none of the magic. A hand-crafted birch counter in the kitchen, with a birch support fashioned beside the bed, artisan-made railings on the veranda, pottery accents and fine art of many media hung throughout the space....and this haven for a traveller was set in grounds that appear to be ministered by elves. Everything green and growing despite nearing October, an apple tree laden almost beyond bearing, a secret pond....and, if you know how to walk safely in a wildwood and follow basic trail markers, out the back of the grounds are further treasures to be found on a nature walk along a wooded slope that eventually trips its sweet way down a rise and greets the Two Rivers Nature Reserve, where you can continue your ramble. There is no breakfast offered anymore (Covid!) but a full kitchen was in my room and the makings of a meal are just up the road at a convenience stop. The owner is so welcoming and kind and has created a place with the same qualities. Internet is available, however this gem of a place is best enjoyed unplugged, where the gardens and art can work their magic and provide a small window of restorative nature to your trip. I certainly hope and plan to return in future.

Spent a few nights in this paradise! VERY FRIENDLY, VERY CLEAN AND SANITISED. many more words can easily describe. AMAZING VIEW over the Bay of FUNDY. Imagine, you wake up, have a cup of coffee, watching the steam rise off the cup, look up, and steam rises off the bay with rolling fog. the sound of the Cape Enrage fog horn slowly sounding off to let the ships know where not to go. A quick drive down the road you'll find the town of Alma, and all the local food and baked goods you could ever dream of.
