Buffy Andrews Music

Our son studied with Buffy for a number of years in Winnipeg. I appreciated her flexibility in teaching including fiddle music as well as Suzuki material. She challenged him by having him play duets with her and occasionally jam sessions with her musician husband as well. She encouraged him to connect with other kids through music by joining the youth string orchestra in the city. She was flexible in rearranging lessons due to sport conflicts. We were sad to see her leave Winnipeg

with buffy as an instructor, our daughter simply thrived playing and practicing the violin! buffy has an exceptional ability to help her students master technique and have fun playing at the same time. her mix of classical and fiddle education made playing the violin come alive for our daughter. i can't say enough good things about buffy!!

Buffy has a way with getting the best out of all ages of children. She helps instill a love of music and the violin in all of her students. She is an excellent teacher and a talented musician.

"Miss Buffy" introduced my 3 year old granddaughter to violin last winter including helping us pick out the proper violin for her and it was such a positive experience. Isla always looked forward to her Wed. mornings and I thank Buffy for being able to accommodate us as Isla comes in from out of town that day. She taught her through playing and games and loved having a violin marching parade with Buffy's 4 children at the end of the lesson. Isla was even included in the recital with all the other students in June which made her feel so special. We really do miss her and are so thankful for such a wonderful, positive introduction to the violin.
