When the 6 yo front roof failed on our new home, water began pouring into our covered porch. 5 electrical outlets in that roof were exposed to continuous snow melt. Dave, the Roofing Director, arrived within 48 hrs to assess and diagnose the issuediy roofing!! No flashing around the dormers, the ice shield was inadequate and poorly installed etc. etc. etc. Complete redo. Throughout the process, besides competitive pricing and quality workmanship, these are the things that were incredibly important as a homeowner Dave and his team delivered: 1) Dave validated both my concern about and urgency in terms of resolving the issue. He completely reassured us the calvary was here: The roof will not cave in! 2) Anticipating the issues and poor workmanship on the front would be reflected in the rear, Dave took pictures of the entire roof and walked us through each and every hole and shoddy repair. 3) Beyond highlighting the holes themselves, Dave explained the relative risk to the structure each of them posed. A bit like an a la cart menu, from water is already causing damage to likely to fail in a year or so just ugly and poorly done repair is optional. Excellent approach to help us budget. We decide to replace the disaster of a back roof as well. 4) I was awe-struck at the efficiency, collaboration and peer-to-peer relationships Dave has cultivated. It was amazing to see how their communication and work processes were used and modified to ensure worker safety at all times. Every single team member of his team was exemplary. 5) Dave responds to questions and concerns immediately and with professionalism. Delayed response? Hes up on a roof, be patient! There was one pretty hilarious and unavoidable accident: a delicate new tree and birdbath were damaged when he plowed a path through 3-4 feet of snow and ice across the lawn to access the back. Dave was visibly devastated and gingerly dug it out. But, even Superman knocks things over to rescue Lois Lane, so I just did/do not care. The tree survived the plow and has an awesome wonky lilt that I love and would not replace.
