        It's a beautiful park. Amazing views of river and Saint John city. The wooden engraved statues present important figures of history as you walk through the gravel path. Nice place to have evening or morning walks. Lots of benches are kept and good for picnic. Wolastoq means the beautiful river in the language of the Maliseet people who once lived on our shores. Built in 2004 by J.D. Irving, Limited, the park overlooks the reversing falls rapids and features a collection of wooden statues of historical Saint John figures. The park is currently maintained by J.D. Irving, Limited.
