LOVE it here, I get the shawarma chicken poutine, and honestly I will go out of my way to come uptown just to eat here 10/19 have never had a bad experience

Excellent food. Most impressed with falafel and salad combo. Serving is not large, but quality and freshness are fantastic. Highly recommend.

AND I REPEAT. THIS PLACE IS TERRIBLE. The chicken shawarma was breaded chicken bits fried on the grill. Shockingly terrible. I cant believe I waited 15 minutes for it. Inedible and a waste of money.

Updated review Aug 2022: We really liked the food here but things have changed a lot from when we first started going 6 years ago. Portions have shrunk quite a bit(check the Poutine photos I uploaded 5 years ago and the most recent photo to see the difference about half the size, the fries have changed too). We've found the Hummus has become very bland too. Ok place to stop for a unique quick bite in the Old City Market but wish things were like they used to be.

Very disappointing. Save your hard earned money and time! I don't typically write many reviews. I am writing this in the hopes it will save others from disappointment. I will not eat at this establishment again. The staff are friendly but the food lacks authenticity. I ordered a chicken shawarma poutine. It came with chicken gravy that has a fake chicken stock flavor. The chicken itself is chewy and taste more along the lines of a herbed chicken with parmesan or some other sharp cheese. definitely not passable for any version of shawarma. It should be sold as a lemon & herb chicken The fries were not cooked in the middle and lacked any crispiness to them. Even the ones on top with no gravy on them were slightly firm inside and under cooked The portion was average for the price and their garlic sauce was good. I started to eat this as soon as I walked to my car which was parked only 2 mins away. I've had different versions of chicken shawarma poutine and they all have the white garlic sauce. Soaking this dish in stimulated chicken gravy is not a way to serve this. I hope they hire a chef to help them create a menu before they go out if business.
