Last week we went on an incredible tour with Jon to see puffins and other sea birds. On the hike up to puffin island, he was extremely knowledgeable on local vegetation and can tell you a lot about the plants that are edible and how they could be used. We got to see plenty of Puffins fairly close up on the trip, and got some great pictures. It was nice to have an expert with us to answer all of our questions. You're sure to learn something on this trip, and the views are great!

When we were in Bonavista, Newfoundland back in August, we took the Puffin Island Hike with Jon, Tuckamore Discoveries. To say that it was amazing and extremely educational would be a vast understatement as there are no words to describe how awesome the hike/adventure was. Jon our guide was very knowledgeable and described all the plant life that we came across on the trails. We sampled many wild berries, including blueberries, wild partridge berries and bear berries. The Puffins were amazing and Jon went as far as setting up his telescope in order to provide a better visual for us. Newfoundland has spectacular coastal scenery and the hike with Jon was definitely instrumental in making our visit a special one. If we find ourselves back in Bonavista again we will definitely contact Jon as it is definitely one of the best tours around! Thanks again Jon Phil and Antoinette Quinless, Ottawa, Ontario
