After these guys had drilled my well they dug a trench over to the house foundation. I visited the site afterwards and saw the open trench with the water line laid inside. A few small sections of the trench had partially caved back in. However, this must have happened before they put in the pipe because it was laid over the filled-in soil. They must have not bothered to fix the cave-ins and just threw the pipe on top of them. Several sections of the pipe were too close to the surface and would be in danger of freezing. I phoned Squires about it and he said that it would be fixed. The next day I went back to the site and they already had the whole thing filled-in and flattened off. A month later I was having the trench for the electrical service line dug which intersected the water line trench. Even though the electrical service is only half as deep as the water line should be, I told the excavator operator my suspicion that the water line was too close to the surface. He was being extra careful but still almost hooked the water line up while digging. We uncovered the small section crossing the trench and it was 30 inches from the surface, a little over halfway to the proper depth. The Squires crowd must have left the water line as it was before they filled in their trench. I decided to wait and see. It's been 3 or 4 years and everything has been working well with no freezing issues... but still, it's shoddy workmanship and it should be noted. Services: Well installation, Pump installation
