Chad and the bys at Thruway really pulled through for me. On the Friday before a long weekend no only were they able to squeeze me in at a moments notice but also get my vehicle diagnosed and fixed before the day was out. Thruway Auto Clinic was a lifesaver! 10/10 would recommend. I was driving a rental car for work and experienced a tire emergency, my back tire seized up and wouldn't spin/move. I originally had it towed to the Toyota dealership as it was a Toyota rental car. After a negative experience with the Toyota dealership I called around to some independent mechanic shops asking if anyone could squeeze me in that afternoon to look at my car as I really needed to get back on the road to make it back to work in another City the next day. Chad and his team to the rescue! They were able to fit me into their busy schedule, get me road ready quickly and efficiently and gave me knowledgable, unbiased advice. Brought in my Honda Civic for a pulley/belt change and transmission sensor replacement. I originally bought it in to get the AC compressor replaced because the clutch bearing was going bad. They called and told me the Clutch was okay and that the actual issue was a tensioner pulley. They replaced it and called me back and told me that the AC Clutch was actually making noise aswell so it would most likely need to be replaced too. I just opted to bypass the AC with a shorter belt and wait till the weather calls for it. These things happen and when it comes to cars I understand that things can be multiple contributors and not just one, so I was more then happy with the work done. They allowed me to get all the parts myself as I was in a hurry to get it done and they even spoke directly with the Honda dealership to help solve the transmission issue. They already had a pulley in the shop so I didn't need to source that. Over all the process was very quick, fair priced and they didn't care if the car sat in the parking lot of the garage for a month while I searched for parts. Very laid back and that makes it so much less stressful. They didn't pressure me into needing anything I didn't actually need, witch seems to be a common trend with shops in Corner Brook including the dealerships. That was a big plus for them!. I will definitely be back (hopefully not to soon).
