Beautiful hidden gem. Quite a long sandy beach. No beach rocks to speak of. Great for a leisurely barefoot stroll.

A gorgeous beach but unfortunately not cared for. Loads of gun shells emptied on the beach from the local skeet shooting event. A lot of dead birds along the beach caused by the avian flu which haven't been cleaned up. Young kids on atvs destroying the beach and witnessed them inspect a baby seal then throw rocks at it but it was already dead. Seems like the locals have no respect for this beach. Sad to see such a beautiful beach go to waste.

This beach visit was an extreme mix of highs and lows. The view, sandy beach, and walk were lovely. Two shocks. Number one was the litter - hundreds of plastic cartridges on the beach. These were accompanied by dozens of targets in pieces in a large area. The usual fisheries litter of ropes, Styrofoam and tags. There was a colony of plovers nearby. I can only imagine the noise, but they didn't get scared away. Birds are tough. Second shock was the dead birds, mostly gannets. Presumably they perished due to avian flu. We saw these birds on other beaches. I would have thought there would be an effort to collect and burn or bury these birds to prevent further spread. And I was disappointed to see fathers driving quads with no helmets. A very young boy was driving with a bike helmet and two friends with him. So many injuries and accidents, but no one thinks it could happen to them. I hope the children tell their dads they love them and please wear a helmet.

I was down at the beach today with my girlfriend and stepson. The beach is beautiful but its littered with dead birds. I had to pickup my dog in my arms so walk down the beach. It was disgusting. The town needs to clean this up.
