        This is a great spot. Its right in the middle of the park, so you can get to pretty much any trailhead in less than 20 minutes. I came for the equipment they offer in their store and stayed for the affordable hospitality. Gary & Colin made a last-minute check-in a breeze and they are extremely knowledgeable about the area. Lila is especially friendly, respectful, and motivated to provide a fun experience that you wont get at any other hostel. Theyve got board games, a massive common area, and a deck out back with a fire pit. Murp or Merp (idk) is a very cute cat that hangs around the hostel, so be warned if youre traveling with someone who has an allergy. Dorm/shared rooms are $40/person and private rooms are $80 flat. I opted for the private room (with private bathroom and shower) and stayed for 2 nights. Im pretty sure I couldnt have been more satisfied during my stay, and I would absolutely recommend OutEast to anyone visiting Gros Morne. I can see what they were going for in terms of interior design, but it is a tad tacky. Thats my only critic.
