The Bee's Knees

I really like the products here(generally), they have some beautiful things. The staff have also been helpful when I went in. What I don't appreciate is their return policy, in some cases. I bought a bamboo comb there that doesn't even comb through my hair, it only pushed it around, so it doesn't actually work as a comb. I took it back the very next day, not even expecting a refund, but at least an exchange, as the store policy states only exchanges or store credit. So I was happy to get something else with this. But their store policy is to also not allow body products to be returned. I understand this as a principle as I have worked in retail many times and agree with it, but when a product doesn't do what it's meant to do, in this case function as a comb, then I don't agree with this. Especially when I brought it back the very next day and had also bought other items that I am happy with and keeping. Working in retail I have had the experience of sending back faulty items to distributors, as well as the business just taking losses when getting reasonable requests for returns from customers. It's a balance, and it's about maintaining a good relationship with customers. Well, I did not feel this business is doing this at all. I'm just told it's store policy repeatedly. I wasn't asking some ridiculous request like wanting to get a full refund for the comb after using it for 6 months. So this really ruined my experience of this lovely little store.

Little store in downtown St John's with good quality items for sustainable and less waste life, natural products etc.
