do NOT go near these people you'll always run out of propane ...they never deliver on time, takes weeks after they schedule you in....beware. Is there a neg scale

Awful customer service, an absolute disorganized mess! Have to call in multiple times to stop them from charging me for services I didn't even receive. Delivery men left line loose most recently with leaking propane that they are trying to charge me for. All around horrible experience to deal with and still dealing with after switching providers. Take your business elsewhere!

Wish I could give zero stars. Situation: Was low (just above 1/4) on home furnace oil (our primary source of heat and hot water). Ordered oil... oil never came. Followed up, no delivery date set. Called urgently as oil went below empty and was told there is a $250 charge if they deliver and it's not bone dry. I told them I didn't even know the gauge went below the E line like this is (see pic attached) and they said it didn't matter. I told them we have a 10 month old baby so I'd really like to not run out of heat and hot water but also don't think I should have to pay $250 because it is still able to run on fumes, and they said it didn't matter. - an aside: my partner was also told once when calling in that if we did get oil, it had to be to fill up the tank... ~$1800 at the moment. This was only on 1 of maybe 5 calls so not a huge deal but still a massive hit against this company for misinformed staff and deplorable customer service - So we're sat here, waiting for either: A. Our original order to actually be delivered. Or B. Our tank to run dry to the point that we do not have heat or hot water so that we can get the emergency order without an additional $250 charge. I have no experience with any other oil company (have only owned this home for a year) but as soon as we have enough spare time to do so, I will be looking into alternative options. To take advantage of people when they are at their most vulnerable is simply evil; and at the very least is alarming, disgraceful, cold-blooded business.

I would NOT recommend North Atlantic when it comes to residential gas/propane. If I could give them a zero star rating I would! Theyre awful on all levels. Theyve let me run out of propane with a newborn and toddler in the home, they didnt tell me that my cylinder had expired nor did they replace the faulty gauge on the tank (they said they did). originally when the home was switched to North Atlantic they knowingly switched the home over to Their cylinder knowing that the main line/regulators werent up to B149 Code requirements. I switched to superior propane, who are MUCH better and way more professional-that is the company I would recommend if you live on the North East Avalon, Newfoundland, but before I could have the new Superior tanks installed I had to spend $2,500 to bring the system up to code. When I called and asked to speak to the manager at North Atlantic, Dennis, I was actually laughed at by the lady I was speaking to; A lady that I showed nothing but respect to. How professional, right!? Theyre a joke! I hope this review saves SOMEONE the headache I had to deal with. Do not go with North Atlantic, go with Superior Propane. Even Irving is 5x better than North Atlantic (from what Ive been told by people in the area).
