Grand Old Shed Party Show

Try, if you must, to resist the gale of good will that blows out of the shed party big bearhug of a musical evening that happens on Sunday night in the Town of Twillingate. But even the most stalwart cynics may have trouble staying stoned face during this portrait of true Newfoundland hospitality, a night of song music and friends with a little dance to boot. The shed party set, you should know, in the shed of two beautiful songstress, they push so many emotional buttons that you wind up feeling like an accordion. That does not mean that youll leave thinking you have been played. Its a fun fun fun evening. During intermission complimentary sweets and beverages are served in true down home fashion, it might be a blueberry grunt or molasses bun with homemade preserve. For that little extra a bit of berg ice to chill your drink. The shed party is as honorable in its intentions as it is forthright in its sentimentality, humour, kindness, and feel good emotion. But as it proceeds, the show covers a vast expanse of material, story telling, local traditional music, their own beautiful music and lyrics. with a respect for its simplicity and complexity. It understands that much of what it portrays is guaranteed to stir life long memories for many of us. For both Newfoundlanders and their visitors, these ladies manage to convey clearly that just above the waters of twillingate and as far as the coast of Labrador that we take care of each other with a rant and a roar. I loved my evening at the shed party and if I find myself in the vicinity anytime soon or in the near future I will be sure to attend again, I suggest you do too!!!!

We attended July 7th, 2019 and had an absolute blast! Met some new people, tourists like us and locals. The music was lively and the fun was genuine. Truly a great little find! Thanks so much ladies. :)
