GCR Tire Centres

Pros: GCR was quick to get us into their shop for a short notice tire repair (passenger's front). Cons: Unfortunately after leaving their shop we had a significant shake coming from the front end when traveling at 80 km/h or higher We brought the vehicle back in to have the balancing checked. The tire tech advised me that he had forgotten to add balancing weights to the rim during the initial repair however he had since balanced the tire/rim and it was good to go, so we thought... Got back onto the highway and was met with an even worse shake, I was going to continue on to my destination however the shake was so bad I opted to call GCR's office and explained to them the situation and my concern that the tire had been balanced incorrectly. The male in the office who I believe is the owner seemed convinced that I had an issue with my steering and or suspension components however I reassured him that everything was in good working order and that the vehicle did not have the shake of concern until his shop had completed the tire repair. He agreed to have it brought back in. Brought the car back in, the team opted to balance the driver's front tire instead of re-checking the passenger's front that they had worked on. They owner then waved me off on my way after advising me that if the shake was still present that it was due to worn out steering/suspension components. Got back on the highway and the shake was still very much present. Got frustrated and due to time constraints I continued to my destination. Booked the vehicle into a shop in Goose Bay where they re-balanced the front tires/rims and found them to be significantly off balance... I was back on the highway shortly after. My experience was less than ideal as steps were skipped and my concern wasn't validated. Plus I paid to have the job done twice.

Had a leaking tire back on January 25th, 2021; the team at GCR were able to see me on short notice and make quick work of the repair to get me rolling again.
